On the morning of September 10, BCI & BIMC (formerly known as BCI) and Tianfu New District People's Court (Sichuan Free Trade Zone People's Court) held a ceremony for the signing of the cooperation agreement between the parties and for the unveiling of BCI & BIMC's Sichuan studio, and conducted a themed-forum on Patterns and Practices of Law Ascertainment.
The two parties will have deep collaboration with each other in five major aspects, namely the foreign law ascertainment, the enhancement of international adjudication ability, the bilingual compilation of typical legal cases, the construction of the “Belt and Road” Legal Database, and the investigation and research of foreign-related legal issues.
Dr. Xiao Jingyi, BCI & BIMC's Executive President of Council, said that the establishment of BCI & BIMC's Sichuan studio is closely linked with the construction of the free trade zone, as one of BCI & BIMC's mission is to help in establishing of international business environment in China, and it has built a two-way legal exchange platform for foreign investors desiring to invest in China as well as Chinese enterprises aiming to go global.
Dr. Xiao Jingyi went on saying that, BCI & BIMC would like to contribute to the development in Sichuan Free Trade Zone in foreign law ascertainment, think tank research, cross-border legal consultation, overseas corporate compliance, legal technology, international exchange and training, etc, with BCI & BIMC's advantages in terms of resources and experts.
